A Kingdom That Cannot Be Shaken

“Therefore, let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe” (Hebrews 12:28).

Welcome back dear student, warmest wishes for a happy, healthy, and peaceful New Year! There’s certainly lots happening in the world - good and bad. All around us Biblical prophecy is being fulfilled - we shouldn’t be surprised. Spiritual battles are raging between dark and light, between good and evil. People who don’t know God are confused and deceived - even mad at God.

Our foe is not God, but the powers of darkness – Satan and his demons are stealing, killing, and destroying at every opportunity (John 10:10). It’s easy to blame God rather than investigate and face the Truth. Complacency and lack of knowledge of God’s Word contribute to the problems. The enemy comes dressed as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14). What better way to fool your prey than to hide your existence? A modern trojan horse, causing destruction, fear, and defeat.

But for those who will believe in the Lord Jesus, humbly repent of sin, and accept Him as Lord, the outcome is much different. “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of our God stands forever” (Isaiah 40:8). No matter what’s going on, God’s Word proves true, outlasting all opinions and negativity! The Lord Jesus was born, grew up, died on the Cross, and was raised from the dead, fulfilling every prophecy about God’s promised Messiah. The Word of God is the testimony of Jesus; His life and teaching are the heart of prophecy (Revelation 19:10 Amplified Bible).

We must not fear what’s transpiring in the world. We should only fear God. Jesus asked… “what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, if he loses His own soul?” (Matthew 16:26; Mark 8:36). Life is a rollercoaster - mountain top experiences one day, and down in the valley the next. But relationship with Jesus keeps one stable. “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty, whose power no foe can withstand” (Psalm 91:1-2 Amplified Bible). The enemy is active and cruel, but his power is nothing compared to God.

Jesus defeated the devil at the Cross and made a spectacle of him (Colossians 2:13-15). The joyous message of the Gospel is - God so loves each and every human being that He gave His Only Son to die in our place, taking our sin and curse, enduring such pain, suffering, sickness, and torment so that we could be healed and made whole, forgiven and reconciled to the Father through His sinless Blood (John 3:7-16; Romans 5:6-11).

Folks watch romantic movies dreaming of true love. Yet the ‘Greatest Love’ of all is available for us all to receive freely (Matthew 10:8).

The 'Friend who sticks closer than a brother'.

The Shepherd who tends all our needs.

The Giver of every good and perfect gift.

The Author of Life; Prince of Peace; Wonderful Counsellor.

His Name is Yeshua - Jesus, the Son of God.

He loves you friend. He gave everything for your deliverance and freedom! God doesn’t try to buy our love – He has given each one of us a free will to accept, or not. But He longs for us to choose Him. To Believe in Him. To live for Him, in obedience to His Word, following His lead - walking in Love. There is a high call upon our lives - to bear fruit that lasts through our relationship with Jesus (John 15:16). Yes, the world is unstable, but everything is - without God. It’s time to return to Him and begin this year right. Don’t settle for ‘the same old…same old’. Seek God’s purpose and plan for your life!
