March for Jesus

Oct 2
3 min read

“…Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God and be baptised in the Name of Jesus Christ, for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This promise is to you and to your children, even those far in the future – all who have been called by the Lord our God. Peter continued preaching for a long time, strongly urging all his listeners.. ‘save yourselves from this crooked generation!’. Those who believed what Peter said were baptised and added to the church that day – about three thousand in all” (Acts 2:38-41 NLT).

Welcome back dear student, firstly, thanks to everyone who travelled to Dublin for the March For Jesus last Saturday, it was an emotional sight - people from every denomination, every background and colour, united together for one purpose - to exalt the Name above all Names - the Lord Jesus Christ over Ireland.

United in the Name of Jesus

Young and old joyfully marched across the streets of our capital city, unified in peace.

The Kingdom of God is the most diverse and inclusive scene of all!

People push for their version of diversity, equality and inclusion in a society without the knowledge of God’s Love, yet this has always quietly existed and continues to carry on, in the beautiful family of God.

Almost thirty thousand people walked and sang through the city streets in glorious sunshine – not that you would have heard of it through the mainstream media, who decided not to cover or broadcast it.

Why? Because there is an agenda globally, bought into by our government and their minions, to deny and disregard our Christian heritage in an attempt to dilute faith in Christ the Hope of Nations (Romans 15:12-13; Isaiah 11:10).

A Spiritual Battle for Our Nation

Friend, maybe you didn’t hear about March for Jesus in time; or maybe it was something you were afraid to be part of. We often make assumptions about things we don’t fully understand.

But make no mistake - we are in a spiritual battle for the heart of our nation, and for our children and their children.

This is not a far-right movement - just regular Christians proclaiming faith in Jesus.

It’s time that the body of Christ wakes up and refutes the lies from woke leftists.

Division, apathy, suspicion and jealousy, have brought God’s church into a place of obscure irrelevancy, allowing ungodly forces push their way through in a takeover bid – why? Because disunity and strife weakens and collapses strength (Psalm 133; Matthew 12:25; 2 Timothy 3:3-5).

Watch out! Causing the destruction of their prey from within its own ranks is a successful enemy warfare tactic.

The Power of Repentance and God’s Promises

In the lead Scripture, Peter was speaking to those who had just heard the Good News that Jesus Christ, the Son of God died for our sins, to forgive and cleanse us with His sinless Blood, so we could be reconciled back to God the Father, in Righteousness - as a free gift from God.

Those who were convicted repented and got baptised, producing a spiritual reverberation that would impact their future generations.

The decision to believe in, and follow Jesus, opens up all the promises of God for us, for our children, and their descendants.

God is Faithful. He means what He says. He never changes, never lies, and never breaks His Promises (Isaiah 59:19-21).

God Is Faithful – His Promises Never Fail

In life people may betray us, wound us, turn their backs on us, or break their word, triggering a skewed perspective at times. We don’t trust people, and we apply that same principle to God’s character.

Hence, folks sometimes find it hard to receive from God - because they classify Him in the same bracket as others who have left them down.

That’s not Who He is.

God Loves you friend. His promises are yes and amen!
