God Arms Me With Strength

“God arms me with strength, and He makes my way perfect” (Psalm 18:32)

Welcome back dear student.

What a privilege to watch Katie Taylor’s final fight at Croke Park – it embodied everything great about being Irish.

I believe it was a night of reawakening Ireland to our roots – song, fun, and faith. The beauty of hearing the crowd belting out Grace, then the National Anthem, and hearing Big Jack’s voice again was just fabulous.

Then Katie emerging on her last ring walk - worshipping the Lord Jesus Christ.

What an outstanding woman of God!

She has never been ashamed of her faith and has testified of how God’s Word has sustained her through dark days. It was a night to remember!

A Nation Waking Up

The world is changing. People are waking up to the Truth, that the screechers and screamers are not promoting wholesome or beneficial ideologies.

Our nation was born when ordinary people decided enough was enough. Many have forgotten our forefathers sacrifice. People who worked hard and built this nation through pain, poverty, isolation, and darkness.

It’s time to remember who we are - and - Whose we are.

“The earth is the Lord’s” (Psalm 24).

Ireland included!

We are not puppets. We must stop tolerating the compromise of dirty money and greed, by those who would sell us out.

We are a Christian nation that has lived through suffering and misery but still can hold our heads high. We can laugh and rejoice even through tears.

“But God is my Helper. He sustains my life” (Psalm 54:4).

Rescued and Sustained by God

The apostle Paul puts it beautifully….

“We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought that we would never live through it. In fact, we expected to die – but, as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely on God Who raises the dead. And He did rescue us from mortal danger AND He will rescue us again. We’ve placed our confidence in Him, and He will continue to rescue us!” (2 Corinthians 1:8-10).

There are plenty of begrudgers who insult faith in Jesus, but they are spouting out of ignorance.

For anyone who has seen God’s hand in your life – you know that you cannot deny His power, His Mercy or His tenderness (Lamentations 3:22-25).

This knowledge spills over into everything. You cannot help but talk about how good God is, and all He has done for you.

A Significant Weekend Ahead

Coming up this weekend are two major events – the Hebrew civil New Year begins with the festival of Rosh Hashana - the ‘Head of the Year’ on Friday night going into the Sabbath on Saturday.

It is a significant Divine appointment celebrating the anniversary of creation on God’s Biblical calendar which works off the moon cycle. Over here, we follow the Gregorian calendar, controlled by the cycle of the sun.

During the past few weeks, in the Hebrew month of Elul, God’s people set time aside for reflection on one’s heart and actions, repenting for sin, and preparing for what God has planned in the new season - the new thing.

This will be a year of judgement for some, but a year of blessing for those who turn to God and seek Him in humility.

Also, on this Friday we remember those who lost their lives during the terrible 9-11 attacks in the USA twenty-five years ago.

God is Moving

God is moving friend.

Some are sensing His Presence and the call of His heart and are falling into step with Him.

We will see a massive crowd descend upon Dublin on Saturday, September 26th next at ‘March For Jesus’, when we get to celebrate and proclaim our faith together for God’s Glory - All Hail King Jesus!
