Hope in His Unfailing Love

“God takes no pleasure in the strength of a horse or in human might. No, the LORD’s delight is in those who fear Him, those who put their hope in His unfailing Love” - Psalm 147:10-11

Welcome back dear student.

Mankind puts trust in many things other than the LORD God. The enemy uses man’s power and strength to impress or trick people who can’t see help coming from anywhere else.

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6).

In coming to know the LORD of Heaven’s Armies – we discover His endless Love for us, and how majestic and all powerful He is (Psalm 20:7-9).

‘I look to the mountains, where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth…He will not let your foot slip, He Who keeps us will not slumber or sleep’ (Psalm 121).

A World in Turmoil

We need God’s help now more than ever - putting it mildly, things have gone haywire in our world today. Lawlessness, violence, reckless lack of respect for life, antisemitism, and strife are everywhere, and there is no fear of God.

There has been no accountability, no reporting or confrontation of evil, and no common sense - instead there is a soft approach taken out of fear of causing offence. Some measure worth in achievements or activism, while scoffing at morality, respect, and integrity. Fakeness and corruption are accepted - no-one bats an eyelid.

We are being dictated to by folks who neither know nor care about our culture, or our history. It’s every man for himself – cover your back: and help yourself.

That’s not God’s nature or way of doing things!

Because we are generally a kind and respectful nation, most have just gone along with the flow, without realising the consequences of passivity. They talk of how the Irish emigrated – yet conveniently leave out that they worked, contributed, and enriched those nations with blood, sweat, and tears.

They were lonely for home, but they integrated and built vibrant societies upon Christian values, grateful for the opportunities given.

People reminisce that Ireland was a land of saints and scholars.

That’s been sadly forgotten, now they’re taking us for fools.

Signs of Hope

The recent Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann demonstrated that all is not lost. Irish traditional music, song, dance and craic is thriving. Many were blown away by the effect of the celebration upon the city of Belfast.

Sadly, at times it’s felt like some have become ashamed of who we are.

We are a Christian nation who have warmly welcomed people here for decades from across the globe. They have worked and contributed so much when they’ve integrated.

We cannot allow powerful global forces to dilute and eradicate our Christian heritage or crush our unique nature. Our forefathers endured enough of that pain. Many nations are realising that embracing open borders, and unrestrained ideologies is destructive to their national identity and security.

It’s not being racist or phobic, but we cannot allow the distinct beauty of our native people be destroyed trying to please everyone.

What’s the answer?

Not violence, or more talk.

It’s our faith!

For the past two years Christian Voice Ireland has organised the March For Jesus in Dublin.

Twelve thousand people marched in 2024, and last year over twenty-five thousand showed up!

It’s not a political march, or an activist movement.

It’s simply Christians from every denomination worshipping and exalting the LORD Jesus on the streets of our capital city, praying together.

Feet on the ground is the only language that Government understand to express the power of our Christian heritage.

Our help comes from the Living God and, united, we can serve Him for the honour of His Name.

This year’s March For Jesus takes place on Saturday 26th September in Dublin.

Yes, it is a journey and commitment - but so worth it friends – a joyous day of celebrating our LORD Jesus Christ!
